Emerald Planet Biofuels builds upon the foundation of The Emerald Planet Trust, based in Australia and established by Michael J Robison in 1997. The Trust has focused for over a decade into creating companies that provide a vehicle for the commercialization of environmental technologies. These technologies are now helping to clean the earth and water as well as address the very serious issues of Climate Change both by way of reduction in greenhouse gas production and other dangerous particulates that pollute the air.

In 2006 Michael J Robison and Tobias C Garritt established Emerald Planet Asia Limited (Hong Kong) and PT Emerald Planet Indonesia, to pursue the vision of The Emerald Planet Trust in Asia. The Emerald Planet Trust (www.theemeraldplanet.com) continues to be involved in the development of major avoided deforestation and renewable energy projects, as well as being a founding shareholder or Climate Friendly Pty Ltd which is a world leader in the provision of carbon neutralising services.
